Our scouts and ventures cooking backwoods style @ Larch Hill

Sunday 17th of May marks the return of another Adventure Skills Day in Larch Hill. Scouts should arrive at Larch Hill Scout Centre at 10.30am. Collection from same in the afternoon, exact time TBD. You can find directions to Larch Hill here.

Scouts will need to bring the following equipment:

• A day bag containing...
• Full wet gear including wet legs
• Hat and gloves in case of cold weather
• Sturdy footwear e.g. hiking boots
• A packed lunch and a bottle of water and some fruit or snacks
• Scout knife if they have one
• Bivvy bag or something to sit on when eating
• Sun cream (optional)
• Thermos with hot water (optional)
• Pair of sturdy gardening/working gloves (optional)

We try to the maximise the amount of scouting skills into a day long format saving the expense and logistics involved in an overnight camp. This event has a cost of €5 / head to cover the cost of materials.
